It is also one of the largest independent providers of Risk and Asset Management services to aircraft financiers, lessors, airlines, institutional investors, government agencies, the insurance market and other entities that require independent technical expertise to support aircraft investment decisions and operational risk reviews.
Reporting to the Managing Director Germany, the Aviation Surveyor will be responsible for Aviation Hull and Liability claims. Working with Aircraft Operators, Repair Organisations, International Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers and Law firms, the position involves a wide variety of project management assignments and diverse field work, ranging from aircraft recovery to the handling of major losses and liaison with authorities, manufacturers and accident investigators.
The Aviation Surveyor will assess not only the cause of a loss but also repair methods and costs and will supervise salvage sales when required. Desktop activities will include the issuance of reports to Insurers in accordance with company procedures and in compliance with our claims management system.
Successful candidates will be Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and/or Licensed pilots of fixed or rotary wing aircraft, with extensive and proven experience within the aerospace industry; this will include General/Business Aviation, major airlines or OEMs with overseas experience. Extensive practical experience of aircraft repair, maintenance and engineering on a variety of aircraft is essential as is the ability to project manage and resolve claims in a professional and timely manner. A Private Pilot’s License is desirable but no essential.
