Data Visualization Developer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Data Visualization Developer role to join our Data & Analytics Team. This is a global role and will be homebased.

The opportunity:
Join our growing data & analytics team as a Data Visualization Developer, to provide analytics and insights, deliver reporting and visualisation outputs and be a business partner as a data and reporting expert.

To deliver high standard reports, engaging with Data Owners and Data Stewards and being part of the Data Governance Committee as and when required. Reporting delivery will be for both internal and external customers, but the engagement will be internal colleagues/stakeholders only.

The role
Your responsibilities will include:

  • To enable the delivery of insights and analytics on internal performance for internal consumption or external reporting
  • Deliver timely reports and dashboards as required using visualisation tools. This is a combination of regular and ad-hoc MI returns to Clients, Regulators, and internal customers
  • Collaboration with the Data & Analytics team, taking the specification documents and delivering in line with the defined needs/requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring technical tests are carried out in the appropriate environments before UAT
  • To give realistic estimates on the time for delivery pre dashboard during sprint panning sessions to ensure we manage our stakeholder expectations accordingly
  • To be a technical point of contact as part of the Data & Analytics team to answer visualization tool related questions and queries
  • To be the Subject Matter Expert on visualisation, specifically PowerBI
  • Deliver in line with best practice guidelines.

About you – Knowledge and Experience
Essential:

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience of data visualization and creating dashboards
  • Agile experience – JIRA or similar tools is an advantage but not essential
  • Must have great attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking
  • Business awareness and Industry understanding
  • Team player
  • Solutions focused but takes time to analyse and consider impacts, and uses initiative to solve problems/challenges
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritise
  • Open to bring ideas and suggestions to support and enhance best practice
  • SQL Developer
  • Strong Excel
  • Azure/Cloud.
