David began his Insurance career in 1979 when he joined the South British United Insurance Company in Sydney. After working two years in the claims department, he moved to the Arson and Fraud Investigations unit. During the three years he spent in the Arson and Fraud Investigations unit, David was a foundation member for the NSW chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators.
After rising to the position of Manager for Tasmania NZI Insurance (formerly South British United Insurance), David resigned in 1991 to start his Loss Adjusting career in Bundaberg, Queensland Australia. He owned and operated Central Qld Loss Assessing and later joined McLarens Young International (MYI) as a Licensee for Bundaberg and Hervey Bay. In the following years, David was appointed Area Manager to six McLarens offices after the merger of MYI and Freemans Australia.
Following the restructure, David was appointed to National Manager for Repair and Supply as well as National Manager for the Centres of Excellence. David served as an Account Relationship Manager for a number of clients until opening his own Loss Adjusting business in 2015. In 2016, David was appointed Manager for the Fiji Islands for McLarens.
