After gaining a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Illinois University USA he worked with a major civil engineering contractor in Kuwait in 1980.
In 1981 Fayez was recruited by an international loss adjuster as a civil engineer/adjuster in their Kuwait office. In 1983 he was transferred to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where he has been living and working as an adjuster ever since. In 1992 Fayez joined McLarens as the Jeddah Branch Manager. In 2006 he became the General Manager for McLarens Saudi Arabia with three offices under his control.
In addition hiscivil engineering qualifications and experience Fayez has had more than 30 years of extensive experience as an active loss adjuster. He has handled claims under most classes of insurance including theft, fidelity and business interruption losses, whilst retaining his specialty in civil engineering/CAR/EAR losses.
During his tenure in Saudi Arabia Fayez has handled some of the largest losses occurring in the Kingdom arising from fire, flood, storm, CAR/EAR, engineering and machinery breakdown. He has been instrumental in securing McLarens Saudi nominations on many large and prestigious projects for which he has been the handling and/or supervising adjuster. Fayez has been involved in coordination of major loss team responses to large losses including the devastating floods in Jeddah in 2009 and 2011.
Fayez’sexperience includes temporary assignment for catastrophe work following hurricane damage in the Caribbean and he has been appointed by Insurers and Reinsurers to major losses in other Middle East countries including Jordan, Yemen, Kuwait, Lebanon, Egypt, Iran, Dubai and Sudan.
Fayez is fluent in his native Arabic and English and is a frequent visitor to the Holy cities of Makkah and Madinah where McLarens are nominated on several major projects.
