Biography

George boasts 38 years of insurance industry experience as a first party claims loss professional. His deep expertise includes both hands-on adjusting roles, as well as senior leadership and management positions. George has represented underwriters and reinsurers on national and international losses for the past 29 years.  He began his career with Crum & Forster, followed by a position with Home Insurance. George then continued his career with the Thomas Howell Group and GAB Robins in New York as an independent adjuster and account manager.

In 2003, George brought his extensive managerial and specialized property loss adjusting talent to McLarens. He continued to build the firm’s reputation in the New York Metro Area as the Branch Manager and Executive General Adjuster (EGA). His expertise helped solidify the reputation of the firm for handling complex property and time element losses for high-value specialized commercial risks, catastrophic and terrorism events, as well as account management. In 2014, he assumed the role of Director – USA Eastern Region, while still fulfilling his EGA role and servicing accounts. Today, he continues in an expanded leadership capacity, having been promoted to Executive Vice President of the Eastern U.S. and Caribbean, with the assistance of the formidable cadre of adjusters he supervises.

George’s loss handling expertise includes:

Domestic & International Property Damage & Time Element Insurance; Standard Property Loss Forms; London Market Policies, DIC, and Manuscript Coverage; Builder’s Risk; Boiler & Machinery; Inland Marine Insurance; Coverage Interpretation and Adjustment of major losses to commercial risks from catastrophic events, such as hurricane, tornado, earthquake, riot/civil commotion and terrorism.

George is often asked to speak on these topics at professional industry association meetings.
