Jose holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering with a minor in Energy Production Engineering from the University of Dayton. Additionally, Jose is a Certified Member of The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (MCILA) and Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). Prior to joining McLarens, Jose worked for over five years with an international energy adjusting company where he handled a variety of complex energy and engineering claims arising in the US and Latin America and ranging from damage to offshore platforms and subsea pipelines to a broad range of onshore property losses involving, among others oil lease property, drilling rigs, rotating machinery and heavy equipment. Before his transition into loss adjusting, Jose gained experience in the renewable energy sector while doing research on solar adsorption refrigeration technology with an NGO in India, and in the manufacturing industry when working for a flexible packaging manufacturer in El Salvador.
Jose is involved with the Houston chapter of Young Risk Professionals.
