Laura began her career in Insurance in 2013 working as support staff in a Loss Adjusting firm based in Dublin. Shortly thereafter, Laura progressed to a Junior Loss Adjuster role handling primarily Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims. In 2019, Laura took up a role as a Complex Casualty Claims Adjuster for a large Insurer handling complex casualty claims (Employers’ Liability, Public Liability, Products Liability and Motor Fleet). In 2021, Laura moved on to become a Senior Casualty Loss Adjuster for a large Loss Adjusting firm with coverage nationwide in Ireland. Then, in 2025, Laura commenced working as a Casualty Underwriter for a large Multinational Insurer writing large, complex multinational accounts.
During her time in the industry, Laura gained a wealth of experience across various disciplines and is particularly adept in handling Employers’ and Public Liability claims. She is proficient in handling complex claims with multiple parties and seeing each case through to economic settlement or full defence.
Laura joined the McLarens team in December 2025 and is based in the Dublin office.

- Public Liability – successful defence of a 2022 High Court Public Liability claim against a hotel following an alleged exploding kettle which caused injuries, relying on strong expert technical evidence. Kolton v Parmont Ltd. [2022] IEHC 134
- Products Liability – collaboration in handling a large defective products claim for floor and roof insulation panels in private dwelling houses which commenced in 2016 with value of claims exceeding €6.5m. Kelland Homes Ltd. v Ballytherm Ltd. & Ors [2019] IEHC 305
