Stuart began his career in financial services with Clydesdale Bank before moving into insurance in 2004. He joined esure where he worked in the Personal Injury department, where he was subsequently promoted to Senior Claims Handler. In this role he handled a large caseload of circa 500 complex liability claims, severe injury cases and fraud, and he also supported colleagues through mentoring and training. In 2013, he joined Chubb European Group as a Senior Claims Handler, dealing with a large caseload of circa 350 complex Accident & Health claims including life changing injuries and sicknesses, critical illness and death claims, as well as coaching and training colleagues, and deputising in his team leaders absence.
In 2019 he moved to Kennedys Law as a Claims Handler, handling a small caseload of Professional Indemnity, ATE and BTE claims, as well as completing a secondment with Pen Underwriting where he managed a portfolio of Public Liability, Employers’ Liability and Property claims for commercial clients. In 2022 he joined Car Care Plan Protex, working as an Insurer Development and his duties included relationship management, supporting insurer partners, product governance, MI reporting, and business development initiatives.
