Press Release: Airclaims Lands MEGA Continuing Airworthiness Management Services Contract

Airclaims is pleased to announce an exclusive agreement with MEGA Maldives Airlines to provide CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation) support for their fleet.

The contract covers two Boeing 757 and two Boeing 767 aircraft and includes the provision of aircraft induction, technical records management, maintenance planning, airworthiness data review and assessment, reliability monitoring and maintenance programme control services. It also includes the option to extend our support to cover further airworthiness functions such as Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) renewals.

Airclaims will be utilising the Commsoft OASES airworthiness management system (used by industry leaders worldwide) with the support of their offices throughout the Asia Pacific region to fully manage MEGA’s needs under the agreement.

This contract builds upon a relationship between MEGA and Airclaims, which began with Airclaims supporting the acceptance of a Boeing 757-200ER, in Perpignan, France in August 2012. Airclaims conducted a physical inspection of the aircraft and review of its technical records to ensure all was in compliance with the aircraft lease acceptance conditions and mitigate any operational or commercial risk to MEGA.

George Weinmann, MEGA Maldives CEO, stated, “MEGA above all values quality and that is why we have chosen Airclaims as our CAMO and technical support partner. We are fully committed to ensuring the highest levels of airworthiness, customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness for our airline and I am confident that Airclaims shares our commitment to excellence. We look forward to Airclaims’ support in further facilitating our growth as an international airline.”

Nick Payne, Airclaims Director of Risk & Asset Management, commented, “We are delighted to be working with MEGA to design an innovative and effective approach to managing the airworthiness of their fleet.”

Mark Hunter, Airclaims CEO, added, “Our extensive global network will assist in seamlessly integrating with MEGA’s team. We are very excited about this new partnership and see it as a great opportunity to further enhance our growing reputation in the provision of CAMO support services.”
