McLarens expands All-Ireland business with Galway office opening and four hires

McLarens, the global loss adjusting firm specialising in complex, commercial and niche markets, has expanded its ‘All Ireland’ offering with the appointment of three highly qualified casualty adjusters, a senior property adjuster and the opening of a new office in Galway. The move is the latest in a period of sustained organic growth for the adjuster’s operations across both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, which also includes offices in Belfast, Cork, Derry and Dublin. Heather McIlveen and Miriam Lee join Galway and Dublin respectively, whilst Carmel Spaight and Gareth McGlinchey both join McLarens’ Cork team.

Galway

Heather McIlveen ACII LLB LLM has joined as an Executive Adjuster from Sedgwick to head up McLarens’ new Galway office (Hi-Tech House, Unit 18, Claregalway, Corporate Park, Oranmore Road, Galway, H91 KFX3). Heather has 18 years of experience working in the investigation and handling of a wide variety of liability losses including personal injury, defamation, professional indemnity and third party property damage. Heather has also worked closely with a number of prominent Irish companies on the handling of their losses, including notable construction firms, civil engineering firms, retail stores, hotels and nightclubs.

Dublin

Miriam Lee BA (Hons) LL.B. has joined McLarens’ Dublin team as an Executive Adjuster from Sedgwick and has 10 years of experience in the liability claims arena. A qualified solicitor, Miriam moved into loss adjusting early in her career and has gained experience in the management of a large portfolio of claims, with a focus on claims involving professional indemnity, motor, liability (property and casualty) and with specific expertise in defamation, bullying harassment and claims arising from festivals. She also worked extensively in the area of specialist sports claims.

Cork

Carmel Spaight ACII is also an experienced liability adjuster with 17 years of experience in the field. Joining the Cork office as an Executive Adjuster from DCLA Ireland, Carmel brings significant experience in the investigation and handing of a wide variety of liability losses including personal injury, motor, third party property damage and defamation cases. Having commenced her career as a liability adjuster for a local firm in Galway in 2001, she is a respected adjuster in both the West of Ireland and Munster regions.

Gareth McGlinchey CIP has joined McLarens as an Adjuster from Sedgwick. A senior property adjuster, Gareth has 11 years of experience working across the full spectrum of property claims.
