Property Practices Director – UK

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Property Practices Director to join our Senior Management Board in the UK&I.

The opportunity:

Reporting to the UK Operations Director your overall responsibility will be to deliver on operational and development objectives, working closely with the Senior Management Board, UK Operations Director and the Property Practice Heads (Commercial Property, Real Estate, Private Clients and Estates). The role also requires close relationships with other specialist Practice Heads, Operational Heads and Client Account Directors/Managers.

Your responsibilities will include:

Working closely with the Senior Management Board, the UK Operations Director and the Property Practice Heads to deliver on the following objectives:

Establish and evolve a clear strategy for each Property Practice to include;

  • Establishing/Maintaining the Practice as the recognised leader in their sector
  • Robust succession planning
  • Working with Client Services to establish and bring to market new products and ideas and sharing market insights
  • Assisting with the delivery and development of Thought Leadership opportunities

Ensure successful financial performance of each Property Practice against plan, focusing on;

  • Delivering targeted growth
  • Effectively managing resource within the set headcount
  • Effectively managing aged WIP
  • Assisting credit control to recover debt
  • Recruitment as appropriate within the budget or when opportunities identified to aid profitable growth
  • Improving efficiency and increasing the Effective Hourly Rate

Delivery of excellent and consistent performance against set performance measures, including;

  • Client SLA’s
  • Claims Lifecycle
  • Reserve Accuracy
  • Exception reports
  • External audits
  • Internal QA measures
  • Indemnity Savings
  • Customer Feedback (ENGAGE Surveys, Compliments & Complaints Data Accuracy)

Continuous review of processes, systems, and methodologies with the aim of providing;

  • The most efficient method of working
  • A pipeline of innovations
  • A high energy and exciting work environment
  • Market leading on boarding process

As a member of the Senior Management Board, identify and deliver on UK&I growth opportunities by;

  • Working with the Practice Heads to identify opportunities, and assisting with the delivery of those opportunities
  • Promoting an environment of client focus, and encourage and facilitate client interaction at all levels
  • Providing suitable resource to participate in the Account Management of existing or prospective Insurer clients
  • Providing assistance with the management of marketing / promotional activity within the UK&I
  • Providing assistance with tenders, RFI’s and presentations

About you – Knowledge and Experience:

The successful Candidate will have a strong profile in the UK Loss Adjusting market, and will have developed extensive relationships with market participants. The ability to develop business networks and growth initiatives is essential. The individual will have significant team management experience including coaching and mentoring. They will also have strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to establish strong working relationships.  Successful candidates will have excellent negotiation, decision making and problem solving-skills and be highly self-motivated and driven. They will be able to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands. The individual will also take pride in delivering outputs on time, with a focus on quality, communication and organisation.

The individual will be willing to travel throughout the UK and Ireland as required to meet the needs of the role.
