Bret Samboy is an Executive General Adjuster with over 15 years of experience in the property insurance industry, specializing in large and complex commercial property claims. He began his adjusting career in 2010 with Travelers as a Catastrophe Team Outside Claim Representative and went on to hold increasingly senior positions with Hartford Insurance, Liberty Mutual, McLarens, Crawford & Co and most recently serving as an Executive General Adjuster and Director of the Complex Loss Group at Capstone ISG.
Now back with McLarens, Bret focuses on the New England market, along with a presence in New York and Florida, bringing a wealth of knowledge in handling high-value claims across a variety of industries, including healthcare, hospitality, industrial, construction, and municipal sectors. His expertise spans a broad spectrum of losses, including fire, explosion, structural collapse, environmental damage, and business interruption.
Recognized for his technical acumen and clear, effective communication, Bret has built strong relationships with stakeholders at every level—from policyholders and brokers to legal counsel and risk managers. His collaborative approach and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, forensic accountants, contractors, and attorneys, allow him to deliver timely, thorough resolutions to even the most complex files.
Bret also has significant experience with catastrophe (CAT) events and managing multi-location losses, particularly throughout the Southeast and Florida.
