Cory Barnett began his insurance career with Allstate Insurance and later relocated to Travelers Insurance Company where he was a member of Travelers Field Catastrophe Team from 2006 to 2019.
During his time with Travelers, Cory received extensive training and gained first-hand experience in commercial coverage investigation, building damage estimating, and business interruption evaluation. Cory was the field lead for numerous CAT responses including Alabama Tornadoes in 2011, Hurricane Matthew in 2017, and Paradise CA Wildfires in 2018. Cory was also the CAT training lead for Travelers and was responsible for the development and roll out of numerous training initiatives.
Cory joined McLarens in September 2019 as the Direction of Operations-Southeast. In this role Cory will provide guidance on file quality and serve as a technical resource and coach to team members. Cory’s knowledge of the construction industry and building techniques combined with his ability to evaluate, estimate, and settle personal lines and commercial claims provides him the experience needed to mentor and develop adjusters in his region.
