Biography

David started his career in insurance in 1982 at General Accident, where he dealt with a portfolio of domestic, commercial, and motor claims. David subsequently moved to McLaren Dick & Co. in 1987, where he was employed as a Loss Adjuster handling domestic and commercial losses for a variety of Insurance companies in the Midlands. David then joined Davies & Co. in Nottingham as a Loss Adjuster, then joined National Car Rental, formally Eurodollar, as their Own Risk Claims Manager.

David returned to loss adjusting with Capita McLarens continuing his role until its demise in 2004. He then moved to Crawford and Company where he also managed a team of loss adjusters and has held roles as a Loss Adjuster with Williams Pitt and The Graham High Group where he dealt with domestic and commercial losses on the UK mainland and in Europe. Most recently David was employed by Charles Taylor as a Branch Manager, Regional Manager and a Major Loss Adjuster before moving to McLarens in 2024. During his career, David has participated in several CAT Teams throughout the UK, dealing with responses to natural disasters such as flooding and storm damage, to include events in Cumbria, Humberside, the Midlands and Scotland.

Notable Assignments:

  • Motor Claims: Worked with undercover reporters with regards to staged accidents
  • Surge Response: Managed a team of loss adjusters to assist with surge claims in Humberside
  • Medical Supplier: Fire claim (£1million)
  • Property Owner: Fire claim (£750K)
  • Campsite claim in the south of France
