Erica began her insurance claims career as an Automobile Claims Processor for State Farm Insurance in 1999, and was quickly promoted to Claims Representative. She handled automobile claims for the NY Assigned Risk market for State Farm, and was instrumental in generating huge premium adjustments based on extensive underwriting investigations to the tune of over $100,000.00 in one year. In 2005, Erica shifted gears and began handling hundreds of bodily injury claims based out of the five boroughs in NYC. She was responsible for reviewing files and medical records, preparing injury evaluations, and being in charge of negotiations and communications with defense and plaintiff counsels.
In 2007, Erica became a Property Field Claims Representative, handling first party property and fire claims. This included field investigations, writing estimates, and settling claims and/or issuing denials. Erica became a property desk adjuster at Erie & Niagara Insurance Company in 2012, a small co-op company in NY. She was responsible for incoming claims, referral to TPA’s, claim investigations, training, resolutions, subrogation, and writing for the entire department. She also assisted in re-writing the Equipment Breakdown Endorsement with Mutual Boiler Re & The NY Underwriting Rating Board. In 2018, Erica became an independent adjuster for Frontier Claims, handling property and all liability claims throughout western NY for several insurance carriers. Erica joined McLarens in 2022 as a Regional General Adjuster, and will be based out of New York.
Erica is a member of the Buffalo Claims Association, WNY Claims Association, and NYAIA.
