Grace Morris commenced her professional career managing the financial operations for a real estate investment firm. She joins McLarens with over 12 years’ experience in the service industry. With her background in the Aviation Management with Flight Operations field and having her own private pilot’s license, Grace is looking forward to using all her technical abilities and analytical experience in her new capacity as a Marine Cargo Claims professional.
Grace brings a strong foundation in client service and administrative operations to the insurance industry, recently earning her Florida General Adjuster License with a focused interest in Marine Cargo and Transportation claims. With a professional background in fast-paced hospitality environments and office administration, she offers exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage competing priorities — all critical to successful claims handling.
Her regular responsibilities include reviewing insurance policies, loss adjusting, utilization of consultants / experts when necessary, coordinating salvage recovery & sales, negotiating tow invoices, working directly with insured motor carriers & freight brokers to resolve claims. Grace also works to identity theft claims, provide feedback and recommendations to clients for risk mitigation. She is also an invaluable resource on the team with her experience with trailer interchange claims and inland marine cargo claims.
Grace is committed to building her expertise in cargo surveying, loss adjustment, salvage coordination, and subrogation practices, with a long-term goal of serving as a reliable resource to underwriters, brokers, and clients navigating complex marine losses. A long-time resident of Jacksonville, Grace understands the importance of the marine industry in the business world, and how needing to handle associated losses with accuracy and speed are vital.
