Biography

Ian van Jaarsveldt started his aviation career at South African Airways Technical, qualified in the trade of Aircraft Electrician. Ian carried out his duties in major maintenance on short and long-range aircraft, specialising in major repairs “C” and “D” checks, modifications, return checks and strip-down checks. From there Ian moved to Line Maintenance performing daily checks, “A” checks, weekly checks and defect rectification on aircraft turnarounds for company aircraft and third-party aircraft. Ian obtained certification on Airbus A319/A320/A321 Family, A340 and A330 Family and Boeing B737-7/800 Family.
