Jamie Bedford is an experienced Loss Adjuster with a career in the insurance industry spanning over 15 years across the UK and Australia. He commenced his career in 2007 in an administrative role in the UK during a major flood event, gaining early exposure to catastrophe response and claims operations before progressing into a Loss Adjusting role in 2010 with Crawford & Company.
Jamie has since built broad international experience, including roles in the UK with Questgates and in Australia following his relocation in 2019 to support the Townsville flood response. This global background has provided him with strong capability in catastrophe claims, as well as residential and commercial loss adjusting across a range of perils including flood, fire, and storm.
Since making Australia his home, Jamie has continued to develop his expertise in complex and large loss environments. Now with McLarens, he is focused on further expanding his technical capabilities, particularly across commercial major and complex losses, while delivering practical, timely, and customer-focused claim outcomes.
Jamie is recognised for his strong work ethic, adaptability, and hands-on approach in high-pressure situations, particularly during catastrophe events where clear communication and responsiveness are critical.
NOTABLE ASSIGNMENTS:
- 2019 – Bushfires – attended and assessed fire claims, supporting the southern NSW communities of Merimbula and surrounding towns in there time of need.
- Children’s Activity Centre – Melbourne – Fire – $1million
- Surf life Saving Australia – TC Alfred – Gold Coast – $5 million
