After graduating from Kobe University with a bachelor’s degree in marine navigation, Keigo joined Japan’s largest survey firm and started his career as a marine surveyor in 2007.
In his early years, he gained experience in cargo damage surveys for both liability and marine insurance losses, as well as loss prevention and stowage surveys involving steel products and heavy goods. He worked with various types of ocean freights, air and inland cargo, and warehouses storing diverse goods. During these years, he became familiar with domestic and international trading.
In 2012, he was stationed in Thailand to join the flood CAT team of a Japanese-affiliated insurance company, managing cases assigned to local loss adjusters and facilitating claim resolutions by coordinating communications between experts from different entities and nationalities.
Over his 18 years at the firm, he handled over 1,500 insurance claims and built a reputation as an expert in large and complex claims and catastrophes. He is known for his thorough information gathering, negotiation skills, and timely reporting.
Keigo is highly regarded by his clients for his dedication to loss prevention surveys, having successfully resolved several expensive and long-lasting claims.
In 2025, Keigo joined McLarens Tokyo team as a loss adjuster / surveyor.
