Lian studied Built Environment / Architecture at Eindhoven University of Technology, following which she started her career in 1997 in architecture. She worked at two architectural firms in Amsterdam on various (large-scale) housing projects and multifunctional buildings before she started as a loss adjuster in 2010, specializing in construction-related and (professional) liability claims. Lian joined Vanderwal & Joosten in 2019.
