Majid Farooq is a Forensic Accountant and Claims Analyst based in Melbourne, specialising in the financial assessment of complex insurance claims. A Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), he brings over seven years’ experience in financial and management accounting, combined with specialist expertise in insurance-related forensic analysis. Since joining McLarens in 2024, Majid has been responsible for providing forensic accounting support across a range of claim types, including Business Interruption, Stock Loss, and Loss of Rent. His role involves detailed financial analysis, quantification of losses, and the preparation of clear, well-supported reports to assist insurers and stakeholders in claim evaluation and settlement.
Majid works closely with adjusters, insurers, and insured parties to interpret financial records, identify key loss drivers, and ensure claims are assessed accurately and efficiently. His analytical approach, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and practical manner support informed decision-making on both routine and complex claims. Prior to joining McLarens, Majid gained valuable commercial experience working with an ASX-listed retailer and a State Government arts organisation, where he developed strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and operational analysis.
