Marcus is based in the United States and leads McLarens’ Michigan-based operations. With the firm, Marcus has focused on the handling of complex commercial property losses, servicing national and global accounts. He operates as a designated Account Adjuster, assisting Account Adjuster, as well as a Third Party Administrator for property and casualty programs.
Marcus also has provided appraisal and litigation support for a number of clients over the course of his career. These assignments have included acting as an appraising adjuster and damages expert, providing settlement recommendations and preparation of expert testimony. He provided support to the Aviation Defendants in the 9/11 litigation, particularly the correspondence trial regarding potential tort damages.
Marcus has handled catastrophe claims resulting from Hurricane Ike, the Joplin tornado, Hurricane Irene, Super Storm Sandy, and several flooding/wind/hail events throughout the Midwest. Prior to joining McLarens, Marcus worked as an adjuster for a regional independent adjusting firm and a Fortune 500 domestic insurer.
Marcus is California Earthquake certified and is a licensed resident independent adjuster in Michigan. He also holds non-resident independent adjuster licenses where required.
