Ossian began in the insurance industry in 1996 as an all lines claims trainee in Massachusetts. He quickly worked his way up to being assigned to the property claims team and spent the next six years handling personal and commercial lines property claims throughout New England. Along the way, Ossian earned a reputation from his peers and management for his claims handling skills and attention to outstanding customer service.
In 2003 Ossian started working as a commercial property claims examiner at a major carrier, focusing on Excess and Surplus Lines underwriter handling claims for a wide variety of clients across the United States. Over the course of the next 21 years, he had roles as a Litigation Manager, Unit Manager, and Major Loss Claims Examiner. Additionally, Ossian was a member of a policy drafting team for many years, working closely with the legal and underwriting departments to develop policy wording for property policies.
