After completing his mechanical engineering studies, Paul worked for 10 years at Stork Gears & Services, a gearbox repair company. He worked as a design engineer and as a diagnostic engineer in rotating machinery. In order to assess the condition, to enhance performance and ensure reliability of rotating equipment, a varied range of activities such as (endoscopic) gearbox inspections, vibration measurements, machine alignment, condition monitoring, reverse engineering were part of the job. The activities took place in various industries, including marine, power, oil & gas (offshore) and renewables. In 2018, Paul started as a loss adjuster at Vanderwal & Joosten, and mainly handling files with a technical or engineering aspect.
