Pedro began his career as a lawyer and later served as Legal Director at Royal & SunAlliance in Chile. He led the company’s claims team for six years, holding claims management roles for Latin America and the Caribbean. For 27 years, he has led property claims teams, becoming a market leader in Chile with extensive experience in catastrophic and complex losses across Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico. He is a lawyer and a professor of law and insurance, regularly invited to give lectures and seminars in Chile, Peru, and Colombia, particularly on disaster management. With 36 years of connection to the insurance industry, his personal interests also link him to rural life and the promotion of education.
