Between 1987 and 1995, Somluck worked for Siam Box Co., Ltd., as Import Supervisor and was responsible for importation of raw materials for use in production, the production of metal sheets, opening L/Cs, coordinating with customs Brokers for clearing cargo and delivery from port terminals. He was promoted to the role of Factory Manager in 1992.
In May 1995, he moved to McLarens Thailand as a Marine Surveyor since which time he has handled a large portfolio of marine cargo claims, inland transit and marine liability losses, as well as loading / unloading supervision for project cargo, including military weapons, steel, machines and agricultural products, claim adjustments and pursuing recoveries.
In 1997, he was promoted to Senior Surveyor and then, in 1999 he was promoted to the position of Assistant Manager.
5 years later, he was promoted to the role of Marine Manager responsible for managing the marine department as well as continuing to handle his own portfolio of losses.
From 2014 up to the present, he has worked as the Senior Marine Manager.
