Biography

Thad is a Executive General Adjuster and Executive Building Consultant with over 18 years of experience in the insurance claims industry with specific expertise in assessing damage to building envelopes, roof systems, interior finishes, and mechanical components. As an adjuster and consultant, he advises and facilitates the resolution of property loss claims by thoroughly evaluating the loss and providing sound recommendations founded on an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Thads’ adjusting and consulting experience includes projects throughout the United States. He has navigated large and complex insurance property loss claims for municipal complexes, commercial facilities, and residential properties. Projects have involved evaluating damage to building systems and components following fire, earthquake, water, wind, and hail. He has investigated sites, developed damage evaluations and scopes, building code reviews, clerk of works, and prepared replacement cost estimates.

Previous experience includes overseeing the State of Colorado’s K-12 school’s property and casualty department. In this role, he conducted expert investigation and resolution for a wide range of insurance concerns including commercial property, general liability, builder’s risk, equipment breakdown, cyber, fidelity, terrorism, and school crises; including negotiating settlements in cooperation with claimant and plaintiff attorneys for bodily injury and property damage. During this tenure, he successfully pursued construction defect and subrogation matters through litigation.
