Thomas started his career with Huntswood in their Esure campaign after leaving university in 2021. Starting as an FNOL Handler, Thomas worked his way into managing existing claims and eventually being promoted to Deputy Team Leader. In his role as a Deputy Team Leader, Thomas assisted team leaders in managing their teams when they were on leave. In addition to this, Thomas was chosen to assist in training several teams of handlers in South Africa, while also mentoring new colleagues and assisting existing ones.
Thomas then joined Sedgwick in April 2023 as a Claims Technician in their resource solutions department. Thomas worked briefly on a private insurance client before moving onto a large commercial motor account. Thomas worked initially as a migration handler, handling files which were migrated from another administrator to Sedgwick. Thomas continued to work on this account during his time at Sedgwick, handling Motor Trade and Fleet claims.
