Biography

With a career spanning over four decades of direct insurance industry experience, Tim has gained extensive knowledge in both claims handling and operational leadership. Since entering this sector in 1985 (MMI Ltd) and then moving into Loss Adjusting during 1989, he has developed deep technical expertise handling a wide range of complex and high value claims. Tim successfully attained ACII qualification in 1993 and ACILA (double institute prize winner) during 2001.

Tim has a longstanding reputation for thorough and detailed investigation, pragmatic and fair approach, exceptional service delivery and optimising results and the claim journey. He has been specifically selected as preferred/designated adjuster by Insurers throughout his career due to consistent levels of performance.

In addition to technical claims handling, Tim has held senior operational and management roles with responsibility for leading teams at both local and national level.

From 1995 onwards Tim has been deeply involved with major losses and major catastrophe incidents including 1996 IRA Manchester bomb. Other catastrophe work includes multiple UK flood and storm events. Furthermore, he worked as an integral part of a CAT team deployed to Bermuda following hurricanes Fay and Gonzalo during 2014 as well as specific major loss assignments in Gibraltar and Malta.

Tim joined McLarens during 2011 as Executive Adjuster and has fulfilled various senior roles throughout this period, and currently is Senior Executive Adjuster (Major Loss). Tim was awarded McLarens UK&I inaugural ‘Adjuster of the Year’ during 2017. In a publication ‘Champions of Insurance, Tim was referred to as ‘Genuine nice bloke. Utter expert in his field and makes things happen when others have failed or faltered. Never fails to respond and always offers full explanations.
