Vu Duc Thang is an experienced loss adjusting professional with over 12 years of expertise in handling complex property and construction-related claims, supported by a strong technical foundation in quantity surveying and engineering. He is a Certified CILA professional and specializes in Property, Construction, and Machinery Breakdown.
Thang holds a degree in Civil Engineering (Quantity Surveying) from Hanoi Civil Engineering University and an MBA, combining technical and commercial expertise. Prior to joining McLarens, he spent nine years working as a senior quantity surveyor with leading international consulting firms, including Altus Page Kirkland and Arcadis, where he was involved in major construction and infrastructure projects.
He joined McLarens Vietnam in 2014 and has since played a key role in handling a wide range of major and complex losses across the country. His experience spans large-scale industrial and energy projects, including refinery and thermal power developments such as Dung Quat and Nghi Son Refineries, as well as Thai Binh, Vung Ang, and Nghi Son Thermal Power Plants. His work includes site investigations, quantum analysis, and coordination with multiple stakeholders on high-value claims.
In addition to his work in Vietnam, Thang has undertaken international assignments across Indonesia, Nepal, and Thailand. He was also actively involved in managing a high volume of claims arising from the Thailand earthquake in 2025, demonstrating his capability in handling catastrophe events under demanding conditions.
Thang is recognized for his strong technical expertise, practical site experience, and ability to manage complex construction-related losses, making him a key contributor to McLarens’ operations in Vietnam.
