In 2018, having grown up between France and the United Kingdom, Tom decided to pursue legal qualifications recognized in each of the two countries. He completed a License 3 in French Law, in addition thereafter, to a Masters 1 in Comparative & European Private International Law at the Université de Toulouse Capitole 1. Furthermore, as an integral part of his international study program, Tom completed an LLB at Bangor University.
In September 2022, after obtaining his French Masters 1 and his LLB, Tom embarked upon a career in Loss Adjusting with McLarens. In February 2023, he was invited to go to New Zealand as part of the McLarens Catastrophe Response Team to assist with the settlement of claims arising from both the Auckland floods and Cyclone Gabrielle. While in New Zealand, Tom participated also in the handling of EQC, Landslide and Tornado claims, thereby developing, enriching and enhancing his professional knowledge and experience.
Building on his international catastrophe response experience, Tom assisted with the floods that affected the UAE in April 2024. Stationed in Dubai, in addition to large commercial losses, Tom helped manage claims ranging from high-net-worth clients to storm damage affecting entire apartment blocks.
