Lisa Usman has joined McLarens Private Clients & Estates
Specialist adjusting firm continuing to build out a multi-disciplinary practice across the UK & Ireland
LONDON – AUGUST 2023: Global claims services provider McLarens has appointed Lisa Usman as an Adjuster/Conservation Specialist within its Private Clients & Estates team in the UK and Ireland. Lisa’s appointment will enhance McLarens’ offering around the assessment, conservation and restoration of rare and historic artifacts for clients in the High Net Worth (HNW) market.
Lisa is a leading specialist with a degree in Archaeological Conservation, a post-graduate degree in Forensic Archaeology Science, and a second post-graduate degree focussing on cultural heritage in natural disasters, especially earthquakes.
Over the course of a career spanning 27 years, Lisa has spent several years working on excavation in the Middle East, accepting a position at Qatar Museums in Doha, Qatar. Since returning to the UK, Lisa has held roles with conservation specialists Plowden and Smith, and with the conservation and damage restoration company Richfords Fire & Flood, where she set up the HNW contents response team. She has worked with global insurance companies and loss adjusters responding to major losses, and assisting in salvaging and preventing secondary damage to content. She regularly deals with complex and high-value losses, including multi-million pound damage to historic objects and fine art.
Lisa is the latest appointment for McLarens Private Clients & Estates which has grown to 16 specialist adjusters since its launch six years ago. The team offers full coverage for clients operating across the HNW, agriculture, farming, rural estates, and related sectors. Lisa’s appointment is also the latest example of McLarens building out a multi-disciplinary practice in the UK & Ireland.
