Alex started his insurance studies in Madeira Island, Portugal in 2010 completing a technical course in Banking and Insurance in 2013. This course included two apprenticeships which were done with an insurance broker. Alex subsequently joined an insurance company named Fidelidade Seguros as an Account Manager.
In 2017 Alex relocated to the UK and joined AXA UK as a motor claims handler where he further developed his claims skills for a year. Upon receiving an offer from Network Insurance in Guernsey, Channel Islands, Alex moved back to his birthplace and took up the role of a Claims Handler, later being promoted to Claims Manager in 2019 where he managed the department which included private and commercial claims. His daily routine was to negotiate claims on behalf of his clients, challenging insurers and loss adjusters when required to obtain a fair result for the Insured.
