Eden’s career journey in mechanical engineering began in 2011 when he started as an apprentice at a foundry in the Midlands. During this time, he gained invaluable hands-on experience in the engineering field, learning the fundamentals that would lay the groundwork for his future success.
Eden’s next move took him to an overhead traveling crane company, where he worked as a service engineer. This role exposed him to a variety of engineering industries, allowing him to broaden his skills and knowledge base.
In pursuit of further professional growth, Eden completed his Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Mechanical Engineering, which opened up new career opportunities. This led to a role as an Engineer Surveyor, where he worked for leading firms like HSB and Zurich. In this capacity, Eden gained extensive experience in inspecting a wide range of lifting equipment, including the likes of lifts, stair lifts, escalators, mobile crane and tower cranes. His attention to detail and technical expertise enabled him to assess the safety and functionality of various complex systems.
In 2024, Eden took on a new challenge when he joined McLarens as part of the Construction and Engineering team. Bringing with him a wealth of experience across multiple engineering sectors.
