Mariya has specialised in forensic accounting since 2017. She has experience in business interruption and other insurance-related claims, quantifying loss of profits and reviewing claims on behalf of insurers and lawyers.
In addition to insurance matters, Mariya has experience of quantifying damages and preparing expert reports in litigation and arbitration proceedings, including shareholder disputes, insurance litigation and investor treaty claims. She also has experience conducting forensic investigations, including financial analysis and review of accounting records in contentious contexts.
Mariya has worked on assignments across the UK, Europe and the CIS, and is fluent in Russian. Prior to specialising in forensic accounting, she trained in statutory audit, focusing on insurance and investment management sectors.
