Biography

Marvin began his career in the civil engineering industry with a well-established MNC main contractor in Singapore as a Design Engineer in 2015. He was responsible of overseeing the design and data analysis for soil investigation (SI) and ground improvement works (GIW) as well as handling technical civil engineering issues for the land preparation works for airport development project.

In 2017, Marvin joined another construction firm as a Project Engineer and participated in a Public Utilities Board (PUB) project. Initially, he was appointed for the role in the instrumentation department but showed his adaptability and eventually diversified within the Operations team. He took on construction and site supervision works – technical project planning, material orders in accordance to design specifications and site inspections. He was also responsible to oversee the QA/QC department to ensure relevant Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and other material testing were adhered to project requirements and provided support to the Public Relations aspect of the project. In 2019, he worked within the company’s Contracts department for the exposure in the tendering of new projects.

With his experiences in the construction industry, Marvin joined McLarens in February 2021 as an Engineering Adjuster. In his current role, he is involved particularly on contractors and erection all risk claims on large commercial complexes, infrastructure losses and other major civil works in Singapore. Aside from the loss adjusting, Marvin also undertakes Risk Assessment surveys for existing and new infrastructure projects in Singapore.
