Paul commenced his insurance career in 1983 as a motor and casualty claims negotiator for Guardian Royal Exchange. In 1986 Paul commenced his loss adjusting career with Trundle Heap & Baker handling all types of domestic and commercial claims.
Paul first joined McLarens in 1991 as Assistant Branch Manager of their specialist liability team in Enfield, north London before opening a new office as Branch manager in Ipswich, Suffolk.
In 1996 he opened a specialist unit concentrating on claims management solutions for International and Corporate clients. This entailed the development of a new global claim management product operated throughout most of the globe.
In 2003 Paul joined Crawford to lead the development of their global TPA product line. He became a Vice President within their Global Markets division and then Director of Global Accounts within their Broadspire TPA business. Paul served as a member of the Global Privacy Steering Committee and Professional Standards Board.
Paul returned to McLarens in 2021 as Head of TPA Client Services.
Paul is Membership Secretary for the Insurance Institute of Ipswich, Suffolk and North Essex having previously served in several positions, including President, Education Secretary and Examinations Secretary. In 2017 Paul was honoured to receive a Distinguished Service Award from the Chartered Insurance Institute for services to the institute.
Paul is a member and former Chair of the Claims Management Special Interest Group for the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.
Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Fellow of The European Federation of Loss Adjusting Experts.
