Richard has worked in the insurance industry for 36 years, with the majority of this time spent handling claims across numerous sectors, including motor own damage, motor third-party, motor personal injury, household, and marine insurance.
For the past 22 years, he has specialised in the marine market as a cargo surveyor and freight liability loss adjuster, managing a portfolio of claims ranging from £5,000 to £10 million. He has extensive experience handling a wide variety of losses, including flood, water ingress, escape of water, fire, theft, theft by deception, errors and omissions, road traffic incidents, and infestations affecting a broad range of commodities.
Richard is well versed in cargo clauses and freight contract terms, including RHA, IRHA, CMR, Logistics UK, BIFA, UKWA, HTA, and CPA.
