Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – McLarens, today announced the appointment of Lam Choy Heng (CH Lam) as Managing Director, McLarens Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., reinforcing the company’s commitment to growth, local leadership, and client service in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic insurance markets.
Lam assumes responsibility for leading McLarens’ operations in Malaysia, overseeing business strategy, client engagement, operational performance, and the continued development of the firm’s local team. Since joining McLarens in 2023, Lam has played a key role in strengthening the company’s presence in Malaysia, expanding client relationships, enhancing technical capabilities, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

In his advisory role, he will continue to support key client and market relationships while providing strategic counsel to help drive the ongoing success of the Malaysian business.

CH Lam is Managing Director of McLarens Malaysia, leading the firm’s operations, client relationships, business development, and technical service delivery across the country.
With more than 25 years of loss adjusting experience, Lam began his career in the financial services sector before transitioning into loss adjusting in 1998. Throughout his career, he has handled a wide range of complex and high-value losses across property, casualty, telecommunications, engineering, manufacturing, agriculture, financial lines, and specialty risks. He is a Senior Associate of ANZIIF (Australia) and a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA).
Since joining McLarens Malaysia in March 2023, Lam has played a key leadership role in strengthening the firm’s presence and capabilities in the Malaysian market.
